The Power of Storytelling

and why you should use it more often

I was minding my business, strolling through the ever-busy streets of LinkedIn when I screeched to a halt on the video below.

I mean it’s a video ad from Apple.

But that’s not what caught my attention.

The video was embedded in an article and it was the article’s caption that pressed my brakes.

The caption read: ‘Apple transforms a boring sustainability report into storytelling gold.

Now I am a storytelling junkie and when I see storytelling and ‘transforms’ and Apple in the same sentence, best believe I am digging into that, to find the goldmine.

As I watched the video, and chuckled here and there, it dawned on me just how powerful storytelling is.

Humans are wired for story

According to Dr. Paul Zak, stories make people trust you and connect with you.

Now who is this Dr. Paul Zak and why should you trust him anyways?
